aoFAS Laryngeal Mask Airway

The¬†Laryngeal mask airway is designed to channel 02 or anaesthetic gas to a patient’s lungs.

The airway tube connects to a mask with a cuff which is inflated, enabling the mask to conform to the shape of the facial area, the bowl of the mask faces the space between the vocal cords.

After correct insertion, the tip of the laryngeal mask airway sits in the throat against the muscular valve that is located at the upper portion of the oesophagus.
